I purchased this cage for my cockatiel last September and soon realized that this cage is a poor choice for cockatiels for several reasons.

1. It is much too small and doesn’t allow the bird the freedom to spread its wings without hitting a perch, a toy or a food dish.
2. There is a 2 inch plastic lip all around the inside of the cage that is very difficult to clean and I have to remove the bird to do it effectively.
3. The plastic front is very difficult to open and close. When I attempt to latch it the whole side of the frame flexes and makes it impossible to close with one hand. I have to brace the side with one hand and close the latch with the other. (The first front door arrived broken and it took several weeks for the manufacturer to send a replacement.) I did not purchase this item from Amazon
4, The worst characteristic of this cage is that the plastic panels have a static charge that attracts the bird’s dander. The panels are always covered with a thin white film and must be dusted constantly, both inside and out. The bird is not happy with my dusting his cage and I have to remove him. If you are stuck with one of these cages, you can dust the outside plastic with a dryer sheet for temporary relief or you could do what I did and buy a new cage. I bought a Prevue Clean Life cage that is very roomy and a cinch to clean.

this cage worked well for my two canaries. After the canaries didn’t need the cage, it folds well for storage.

This cage is large enough to hold 3 birds easy. Easy to put together. My birds love there new cage!

We have 3 of these in our house. Two hanging from brackets – one just above the other – at one of the two the eastern facing windows of the livingroom. They look clean and bright and you can still see everything outside while the birds enjoy natural sunlight.

We did take out the 4 opaque white seed/grit/water cups and replaced them with others that looked much better.

Perfect cages for zebra finches.

No bird should ever have to be forced into such a small cage. contrary to popular belief, birds need room in their cage to fly a bit from perch to perch. Also, the clear front is bad because it reduces the amount of room for the bird to move and engage himself. I’d recommend something larger even for the smallest of birds, with horizontal bars on all four sides.

The bird cage stand works as I hoped it would. The problem is that it has scratches all over it. Since each section of the stand was still wrapped in paper, when it arrived, I do not think this damage happened during shipping. Because the cage stand is so scratched up, I will not order from that place again; nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

My wife having bought a parakeet and a large cage, needed a stand. I ordered two of these Tubular Steel Bird Cage Stands, and was impressed at how quickly they were delivered (about 5 total days).

The four star rating (I wish I could leave ‘four and one-half’) is simply because the instructions were so poor. Fortunately, it is pretty much a no-brainer to set it up. It is confusing because they give you more hardware than you need and, again, no real instructions. However, once put together (you will need a Phillips screwdriver and pliers) the stand is sturdy, and we hung the bird cage with confidence.

UPDATE June 19, 2009: Two months ago we ordered yet another bird stand, and again it was very quickly delivered. Good job!

ANOTHER UPDATE September 23, 2009: Since we got a small ‘country house’, we needed yet more bird stands. Ordered two more, and delivered very quickly. Simply great service.

Its a great product if you want to show off your birds in a fun way. I wanted my love birds to be part of the family and this is just a great product because it is the perfect height and keep them away from the little kids and animals!

I purchase this item a few weeks ago and I really don’t like it. I put together and it is so cheap and unstable. When I put my bird cage on the stand it is so wobbly that I feel the whole thing is going to tip over. And I have a very small cage! Would not recommend. Very disappointed in Ca.

We usually hang the canary cage from the ceiling. We recently relocated into temporary rental housing and did not want to put a hook into the ceiling. The stand did the trick. It was easy to assemble. I put it together without any tools and then had my husband tighten the parts when he got home from work. The product is a good value. The local pet stores wanted about twice as much for something comparable.

I wanted a floor stand for my birdcage so that I didn’t have to drill holes on the wall. This one is perfect. Very easy assembly and steady construction.

It was fantastic! I was very happy with the stand. I’ve been shopping around for one like it for a while and I found it!! Best of all shipping was FAST!! Thanks to everyone at Ozbo and Amazon for taking care of me and my little birdy!

Had a hard time finding what I wanted, but found it on Amazon.com. The stand is exactly what I was looking for. I received it a few days after I ordered it and was quite impressed that it came so quickly. I’m happy and my little parekeet loves it. Good size, easy to move and just the right height. Perfect. Thank you Amazon.com

I got this cage and set it up in about 20 minutes, I setup all the perches and ladders and toys , I had so much room, I have two budgies and they love going up and down this cage with ease. the perfect cage just what i was looking for, my birds couldnt be happier..

Kuykendall August 7, 2010 at 5:42 pm

I highly recommend this cage for anyone that has small to medium sized bird(s). It’s a HUGE cage -(if you have a parakeet, he/she is going to have SO much room -will be a very happy bird for sure), has a very nice look to it, and is quality constructed. Didn’t come with any instructions, but frankly it’s so easy to put together instructions are basically not needed. I love the dark colored bars this cage has, makes it so much easier to see your bird and looks way more expensive than the price. All in all just a great cage.

Perfect for my lovebirds! They are still babies so it will be a while before it is completely utilized.
