We got this for our Quaker. It took him a while to go on it, but he likes it now. He uses it to come out and go back in from the top of the cage.
What is the species of the small bird that is frequently seen harassing hawks and other birds of prey?
I Small Birds frequently see hawks trying in vain to evade small birds that harass the large bird, peck it on the back in flight and generally make the bigger bird miserable. What is the species of this small bird?

My green cheek conure tore this to shreds in a matter of days. Great item!
SOME OF MY BIRDS LOVE THIS, AND SOME DON’T. JUST DEPENDS ON THE BIRD.
If your parrot likes to swing, this is an item for you! Worth every cent! Well made as all Booda products are!
I have two of these for my budgie. He loves them. It seems very comfortable for his feet and he loves climbing the incline I created with it from the bottom to the top of the cage. He especially loves sliding down it like a kid down a banister.
I use these perches with all four of my birds…a Cockatiel, Quaker, Senegal, and Conure. It helps to have a different kind of surface for them to walk on during the day, and this perch was recommended by my vet for my Quaker, who has arthritis. The perch appears to be very comfortable for them. That said, the birds also like to chew on it (it is very colorful!). So, it is necessary for me to trim the perch on a regular basis so as not to create a foot hazard from lots of loose string hanging out all over the place! (I had not kept close enough of an eye at one point, and my Quaker got his foot stuck in excess loose string!)
The rope/perch is easy to install, but it seems to be made so that birds can destroy it. Birds will have no problem making this into a ball of yarn, but my birds are scared of it.
My cockatiel has been noisy lately, so I decided to redecorate his cage, hoping he would be quieter with new furnishings to explore. I got 2 rope perches, and a rawhide-like spiral chew toy. My bird screamed and flew away each time I tried to put him into the cage. I placed him on top of the cage and attempted to get him to step on onto the perch. He extended his wings, and hissed. I could only guess he must have thought the new perches were snakes. I had to remove the rope perches and the rawhide spiral, with also bore a snake-like resemblance, before he could reenter his cage. Good thing I kept the old perches…and be careful when you have cockatiels.
